Northwest Landscape, 36 x 24", oils, 2002
My brother lived in Portland, Oregon for 20 years and Harry and I visited. The mountains and the beaches were majestic. The rest of our family was and is in Philadelphia, so we had to go back, but the mountains certainly drew us. This is not a literal interpretation obviously. I didn't want to do that. In fact, I can see now that you can't see the glaciers well and in the painting, they're clear. So this pic really isn't very good. Sorry about that.
